Writers Workshop with Ray Shell

Writers Workshop with Ray Shell

Are you ready to inspire and invigorate your writing?

Brighton Book Festival want to see new writers flourish. Our writing workshop is the place to make that happen.

What makes a piece of writing distinctive? How can we elevate our writing and create unforgettable images and scenes? Informal and fun, this workshop provides approaches and tools to develop your voice and create writing that is hard to forget!

Ray Shell will show you how to construct a novel...starting with the title, the opening sentence, how to find and describe your story and it's characters...how to find your ending. Please bring writing materials and come prepared to write.

Ray Shell has been a permanent fixture in the West End since 1978 when he starred in Oscar Johnson and Lon Satton’s Little Willie Jr’s Ressurection. He has starred in productions such as Starlight Express, Miss Saigon, The Lion King and The Body Guard. He is also the author of Iced, Carolina Red, Spike Lee: The Eternal Maverick and the BBC Radio 3 drama Jubilee with Garth Bardsley. Ray has his own imprint: Street Angels Books at www.streetangelsbooks.co.uk
